These banana muffins are filled with crunchy chocolate-covered kruidnoten, the Dutch spiced cookies that taste like little bites of December 🎄

Ingredients (about 12 muffins)
- 2 bananas
- 1 egg
- 150 g flour
- 70 g brown sugar
- 40 ml sunflower oil (about 37 g)
- 10–11 g baking powder
- About 15 mixed chocolate-covered kruidnoten
- Cinnamon to taste
Procedure
- Preheat the oven to 160°C.
- In a bowl, mash the bananas with a fork until smooth.
- Add the brown sugar, egg, and sunflower oil and mix well.
- Add the flour, baking powder, and cinnamon, and stir until you get a smooth batter
- Chop and fold in the kruidnoten.
- Fill the muffin tin & bake for 20–25 minutes, until the muffins are golden brown.
