Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 250 g sugar
- 250 ml milk
- 50 g butter, melted in a bain-marie (or gently in a saucepan/microwave)
- 250 g flour
- 1 sachet vanilla baking powder
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
Procedure
- In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until light and foamy.
- Add the milk and melted butter, and mix well.
- Sift the flour together with the baking powder, then add it to the mixture and stir until smooth.
- Butter and flour a ring cake tin (ciambellone tin) and pour in three-quarters of the batter.
- Add the cocoa powder to the remaining batter, mix well, then pour this cocoa batter over the light batter in the tin (for a marbled effect).
- Bake in a preheated oven (static) at 180°C for about 40 minutes, and check with a skewer or toothpick (it has to come out clean).
Enjoy!
