These chocolate cups filled with pastry cream and fresh strawberries are the perfect sweet treat for the season: fresh, light, and so pretty on the table.

Ingredients (for 4 cups)
For the cups:
- 300 g dark chocolate
- 300 g strawberries
- powdered sugar, as needed
- 4 paper cups
For the pastry cream:
- 250 ml fresh milk
- 3 egg yolks
- 75 g sugar
- 20 g flour
- 1 sachet vanilla powder
Procedure
- Start with the cream. Heat the milk in a saucepan over low heat until just about to boil, then turn off the heat.
- Whisk the egg yolks with the sugar until light and fluffy. Add the flour and vanilla powder.
- Pour the egg mixture into the milk, return to low heat, and whisk continuously until the cream thickens.
- Transfer the pastry cream to a glass bowl, cover with plastic wrap touching the surface, let it cool, then chill in the fridge.
- For the chocolate cups, start with melting the dark chocolate in a double boiler.
- Pour the melted chocolate into the paper cups and rotate them to coat the inside evenly.
- Turn the cups upside down on baking paper and let the excess chocolate drip off. Leave to set completely.
- Gently remove the paper cups and fill the chocolate shells with 1 spoon of pastry cream alternating with chopped strawberries.
- Decorate with whole strawberries and a dusting of powdered sugar.
