After 3 years of celebrating my bday in Italy, this time I spent a lovely long bday weekend in Tulipland, thanks to the coinciding Easter break.
While I couldn’t celebrate it with my Italian family due to work, I had a lovely time. A birthday that reminded me how beautiful simplicity can be, and how much joy it can bring. After a very busy period, I am very glad I finally got to do everything I like: from walks and spending time with the Dutch family to go to the movies, played my favorite video-game and, of course, eating lots of delicious food and doing a good round baking!
Considering the festivities, this year I opted for a EASTER-THEMED BDAY CAKE: it’s a lemon soft cake, filled with citrus fruits & ginger jam and decorated with powder sugar and lemon cheesecake chocolate eggs.
And soon, next round of celebrations with the Italian fam!
